Burntide Ingredients: What Is in Each Gummy
Burntide has five named ingredients: apple cider vinegar and BHB salts in one blend, plus three minerals.
The Proprietary Blend is 525 mg per gummy. Calcium is 1 mg, magnesium 0.75 mg and sodium 2.5 mg.
To read the full panel row by row, see the supplement facts.
Each ingredient below gets what it is, what the label prints, what the research used, and what that difference means for you.

Every Burntide ingredient, with the amount beside it
Apple Cider Vinegar
Inside the 525 mg blend
The first name inside the blend, and on a weight basis almost certainly the largest part of it. The panel does not say so, and neither will this desk.
What it is: fermented apple juice, dried onto a carrier so it can sit in a gummy. The trials that made vinegar interesting used liquid vinegar by the tablespoon.
BHB Salts
Calcium, magnesium and sodium forms
Beta-hydroxybutyrate bound to three minerals. The panel names all three on one line and gives them no weight of their own.
The mineral rows above the blend are the only handle on how much salt is present, and they put it in the tens of milligrams rather than the grams the ketone research used.
Calcium
0% Daily Value
One milligram. The Daily Value for calcium is 1,300 mg, so this rounds to zero per cent and the panel prints it as 0%.
It is here because calcium is the counter-ion on one of the ketone salts, not because the gummy is a calcium supplement.
Magnesium
0% Daily Value
Three quarters of a milligram, against a 420 mg Daily Value. Also 0% on the panel.
Same reason as the calcium: it is the mineral half of magnesium beta-hydroxybutyrate, declared because the labelling rules require it.
Sodium
0% Daily Value
Two and a half milligrams against a 2,300 mg Daily Value. A single cracker carries more.
Worth knowing anyway if you are counting sodium closely, because it is the largest of the three mineral rows and it is the one people ask about.
Two of those five discs are empty, and they are the two the product is named for. That is the honest shape of this label and it is the reason this website exists in the form it does.
Each Burntide ingredient in full
Apple Cider Vinegar
Inside the 525 mg blend fermented apple juiceWhat it is. Apple juice fermented twice, first to alcohol and then to acetic acid. Acetic acid is the part that does anything, and a typical table vinegar is about 5 per cent acetic acid by volume. In a gummy the vinegar has been dried onto a carrier, because liquid vinegar cannot be set into a chewable.
What the research used. Liquid vinegar, by the tablespoon, with or just before a meal. Ostman and colleagues gave vinegar with a bread meal and measured lower glucose and insulin responses and higher reported satiety. Johnston and colleagues reported improved insulin sensitivity to a high-carbohydrate meal. Kondo and colleagues ran the best-known twelve-week trial, at 15 and 30 mL a day, and reported small reductions in body weight and body fat. A pilot study in type 1 diabetes found slower gastric emptying.
How the evidence has held up. A 2020 systematic review looked at safety, side effects and metabolic parameters together and concluded the evidence base is small and mixed. A 2025 dose-response meta-analysis in type 2 diabetes found effects on glycaemic control that depended on dose, which is precisely the finding that makes an undeclared amount a problem.
What that means here. The whole blend is 525 mg. A tablespoon of vinegar carries roughly 750 mg of acetic acid on its own, before you count the water it arrives in. Even if every milligram of the blend were vinegar solids, the acetic acid delivered would be a fraction of a tablespoon. This gummy is not a substitute for the dose the trials used, and nobody has tested whether a fraction of it does anything.

BHB Calcium, Magnesium and Sodium
Inside the 525 mg blend beta-hydroxybutyrate saltsWhat it is. Beta-hydroxybutyrate is a ketone body, one of the fuels the liver makes when carbohydrate is scarce. On its own it is an acid, so it is sold bound to a mineral: calcium, magnesium or sodium. All three appear on this label, named together on one line inside the blend.
What the research used. Grams. Stubbs and colleagues mapped what happens to blood ketones after ketone ester and salt drinks and used multi-gram servings to do it. A follow-up found a ketone ester drink lowered ghrelin and reported appetite, again at a dose measured in grams. Evans and colleagues reviewed the physiology for exercise, and the 2022 Sports Medicine review surveyed the field. Newman and Verdin set out the case for beta-hydroxybutyrate as a signalling molecule rather than only a fuel, which is the mechanism by which a small amount might in principle matter.
What that means here. The panel does not say how much salt is in the blend. The three mineral rows constrain it: if all the declared calcium, magnesium and sodium comes from the salts, they weigh about 27 mg between them and carry about 23 mg of beta-hydroxybutyrate. That arithmetic is set out in full on the panel page, assumption included. Against a 10 to 25 gram research serving it is around a thousandth.
Safety of the ingredient itself. A 28-day study of sustained exogenous ketosis in healthy adults found ketone monoester drinks tolerable at doses hundreds of times larger than anything in this jar. That is genuinely reassuring about the molecule and says nothing about whether this amount of it does anything.

Calcium
1 mg · 0% DV as calcium beta-hydroxybutyrateOne milligram, against a Daily Value of 1,300 mg. It is on the panel because it is the mineral half of one of the ketone salts, not because Burntide is a calcium supplement. The NIH calcium fact sheet sets out what an adult actually needs and where it usually comes from.
If you are taking a calcium supplement or being monitored for calcium, this jar changes nothing and you should still mention it.

Magnesium
0.75 mg · 0% DV as magnesium beta-hydroxybutyrateThree quarters of a milligram, against a Daily Value of 420 mg. The smallest number on the panel and the one most often misread as a magnesium supplement. The NIH magnesium fact sheet gives the reference intakes.
Magnesium in larger amounts has a laxative effect. At 0.75 mg there is no plausible route to one, which is worth saying because it is a common worry with mineral-containing gummies.

Sodium
2.5 mg · 0% DV from sodium beta-hydroxybutyrate and sodium citrateTwo and a half milligrams against a 2,300 mg Daily Value. This is the one mineral row with two possible sources: the sodium BHB salt inside the blend, and the sodium citrate on the Other Ingredients line. The label does not separate them, which is why the salt arithmetic on this website treats the sodium step as its weakest.
The FDA and the CDC both frame sodium as a ceiling rather than a target. 2.5 mg a day is negligible against that ceiling and is still worth mentioning if somebody is counting it with you.

Why the Burntide blend is legal and what it still tells you
Two of the five ingredients above have no published amount, and that is worth understanding rather than simply resenting. United States labelling rules permit a manufacturer to group ingredients into a proprietary blend and declare the total weight of the group instead of each part. The ingredients inside must be listed in descending order of weight, and the total must be accurate.
So the label does tell you two real things. Apple cider vinegar is listed first inside the blend, which means it outweighs the three salts combined. And the total is 525 mg, so nothing inside can exceed it.
What it withholds is the split, and the commercial reason for withholding it is not mysterious. A published split invites exactly the comparison this website makes anyway. The proprietary blends guide works through how to read one of these in any product, not just this one.
The order tells you something. Apple cider vinegar before BHB salts inside the blend means vinegar is the majority of 525 mg. Combined with the mineral arithmetic, the picture is a mostly-vinegar blend with a token amount of ketone salt. This desk will state that as a reading of the label, not as a fact the label prints.
Absences on the Burntide label, checked one by one
| Question | Answer | What the label shows |
|---|---|---|
| Is there caffeine in it? | No | Nothing on the panel or the Other Ingredients line is a caffeine source. |
| Is there a stimulant in it? | No | The blend names vinegar and three mineral salts. |
| Is there gelatin in it? | No | Apple pectin is the gelling agent, which is what makes the vegetarian seal defensible. |
| Is there gluten in it? | No | No wheat, barley or rye derivative appears on the Other Ingredients line. |
| Is there dairy in it? | No | No milk derivative appears on the line either. |
| Is there added sugar in it? | Yes | 1 g a gummy, from corn syrup and pure cane sugar. |
| Is there artificial colour in it? | No | Beet root powder is the colour. |
| Is there a named clinician behind it? | No | The Doctor Formulated seal names nobody. |
Seven of those eight answers flatter the product. The eighth does not, and the sugar row is the one most likely to matter to somebody buying a weight support gummy. All eight are on the label; none required an inference.
What the Burntide ingredient photographs do and do not show
What people ask about the Burntide actives
How many ingredients are in Burntide?
Five are named as actives: apple cider vinegar, BHB calcium/magnesium/sodium, calcium, magnesium and sodium. The Other Ingredients line adds nine more that are not actives.
How much apple cider vinegar is in a Burntide gummy?
Not published. It sits inside a 525 mg proprietary blend together with three BHB salts, and no split is given. 525 mg is the ceiling for both ingredients together.
How much BHB is in Burntide?
Not published. If every milligram of declared calcium, magnesium and sodium comes from the ketone salts, the salts weigh about 27 mg and carry about 23 mg of beta-hydroxybutyrate. That is this desk's arithmetic, not a label figure.
Is the calcium in Burntide a calcium supplement?
No. One milligram against a 1,300 mg Daily Value is 0%. It is the mineral half of a ketone salt and is declared because labelling rules require it.
Does Burntide contain caffeine or a stimulant?
No. Nothing on the panel or the Other Ingredients line is either.
Is Burntide vegetarian?
The gel is apple pectin rather than gelatin and the jar carries a vegetarian seal. Read the Other Ingredients line yourself if this matters to you.
