BurnTide Label: 6 Steps to Read the Supplement Facts Panel Row by Row

Quick answer

The BurnTide label carries a Supplement Facts panel with a serving of one 2.5 g gummy and 30 servings per container. Each gummy carries 8 calories, 2 g of total sugars with 1 g added, sodium 2.5 mg, calcium 1 mg and magnesium 0.75 mg at 0% Daily Value, and one Proprietary Blend at 525 mg. The blend covers apple cider vinegar and three BHB salts, and its split is not published. Six steps read the panel row by row.

What does the BurnTide supplement facts panel print?

Searches for BurnTide supplement facts, the BurnTide label and BurnTide ingredients all lead to one small box on the jar. It is the Supplement Facts panel. Everything this site says about amounts is read off that box or off the distributor paperwork.

The box is short. It has eight rows. Below it sit the Other Ingredients line, the distributor address, the suggested use, the caution paragraph and the FDA statement. Nothing else appears on the jar as a fact about contents.

The six steps below take it from the top. After the steps, a table gives the whole panel at a glance.

How do you read the panel in 6 steps?

Step 1: Serving size

The panel says serving size 1 gummy, 2.5 g per gummy, with 30 servings per container. That is the base for every number below it. A jar is therefore 30 days at the labelled serving.

Step 2: Calories, carbohydrate and sugars

Eight calories, 2 g of total carbohydrate (1% Daily Value) and 2 g of total sugars. Under sugars sits Includes Added Sugars at 1 g, which is 2% of the added-sugar Daily Value. Half the sugar in the gummy is added.

Step 3: The three mineral rows

Sodium is 2.5 mg, calcium is 1 mg and magnesium is 0.75 mg, each at 0% Daily Value. They look like errors. They are not. The amounts are tiny against the Daily Values of 2,300 mg, 1,300 mg and 420 mg.

Step 4: The Proprietary Blend row

One row reads Proprietary Blend, 525 mg. Inside it the label names apple cider vinegar first, then BHB calcium, magnesium and sodium. The order follows weight, so the vinegar outweighs the three salts together. No split is printed.

Step 5: The two symbols

The asterisk on percent Daily Value points to the 2,000 calorie reference diet. The dagger beside total sugars and the blend means Daily Value Not Established. It is not a warning, and it is not a note about how well the product works.

Step 6: The Other Ingredients line

Read it in order: corn syrup, purified water, pure cane sugar, apple pectin, citric acid, sodium citrate, tapioca starch, natural flavors, beet root powder. Corn syrup is first, so it outweighs the 525 mg blend.

Why do the mineral rows say 0 percent?

A Daily Value is a reference intake for a whole day. Divide each mineral amount by its reference intake and you get about 0.1 percent for sodium, 0.08 percent for calcium and 0.18 percent for magnesium. Rounding rules take all three to zero.

They are listed because they are present, and a label that declares a nutrient has to state how much. These three are the mineral halves of the BHB salts in the blend. When a calcium BHB salt goes in, the calcium comes with it and must be counted.

So BurnTide is not a mineral supplement and does not pretend to be. If you need calcium or magnesium, this jar adds nothing meaningful. See the NIH calcium fact sheet and the NIH magnesium fact sheet for the reference intakes.

What can the panel numbers tell you about the blend?

525 mg is a ceiling for both named actives together. No ingredient inside a blend can outweigh the blend. That is the one hard fact the panel gives. It is also why an amount for each part matters, and why it is missing.

This site adds one piece of arithmetic and labels it as arithmetic. If all the declared calcium, magnesium and sodium came from the BHB salts, the salts would weigh about 27 mg together and carry about 23 mg of beta-hydroxybutyrate. That would leave about 498 mg of the blend as apple cider vinegar solids.

These four figures are not on the label. The weak step is sodium, since sodium citrate on the Other Ingredients line also holds sodium. Treat them as a rough scale and not as a fact. The maker publishes none of them.

What does the label not tell you?

  • How the 525 mg splits between the vinegar and the three salts. Not published.
  • Which vinegar form is used, for example dried vinegar or an extract. The label does not say.
  • The acetic acid content. It is not on the jar in any form.
  • Whether the batch was assayed. No certificate of analysis has been supplied to this desk.
  • Who formulated it. The seal on the jar names nobody.
  • What natural flavors are. It is a legal category, and no supplement label must list its parts.

None of these gaps is unique to BurnTide. They are listed so that you know where a careful reading of the label runs out.

Frequently asked questions

What does the BurnTide supplement facts panel print?

Serving size 1 gummy at 2.5 g, 30 servings per container, 8 calories, 2 g total carbohydrate, 2 g total sugars with 1 g added, sodium 2.5 mg, calcium 1 mg, magnesium 0.75 mg and a 525 mg Proprietary Blend.

What is the BurnTide label revision?

REV 04/24, printed in the bottom right corner of the Supplement Facts box. It is the label revision, not a manufacturing date.

Does the BurnTide ingredients list say how much vinegar is in a gummy?

No. Apple cider vinegar sits inside the 525 mg blend with three BHB salts, and no split is published.

Where do I find the lot code?

Our view

The panel is honest about what it shows and quiet about what it hides. The numbers it prints are small, and the one that matters, the blend split, is withheld.

Read it as it is: a sweet chewable with a small blend and a long confectionery list. If that is what you want, the label gives you what you need to decide. If you want a research dose of vinegar or ketones, the panel tells you plainly that this is not that.

Take the panel to your doctor or pharmacist if you track sodium, minerals or sugar. Do not rely on any website, including this one, in place of that talk.

Please note. BurnTide is a dietary supplement. It is not FDA approved, and no dietary supplement is. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about your own health questions before you start.
